Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a writer from Greece, a syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She's co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an actor, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for over ten years. Her role also includes being the owner of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Originally from Greece, Arianna Huffington moved to England together with her family around age 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. At 21 she became president of the famed debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice portal that offered an honest assessment of the current politics. Her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she was a candidate for an independent in the California recall vote to replace the then governor Davis. Alongside this she also led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her the president of their media company, which also included the other AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and manager Konstantinos and his wife Elli Stasinopoulos. While she enjoyed a strong connection to her mother and father and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. At a young age she demonstrated her leadership skills that she is still known for. At the age of 16, she moved from America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college and was the first woman to hold the position of the president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned an MA in Economics. In the years following after graduation she became a critic columnist and television host. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's assistance.
